Critical activity

Project awarded at the Laval Virtual Awards 2011, category "automotive, aeronautics and transport".

The DCNS group, worldwide leader in naval construction, designs, builds and maintains sub-marines and ships as well as their associated systems and infrastructures.

During the training of new users on the different systems provided, the DCNS group needs to achieve 3 objectives:

In order to demonstrate the added value of virtual reality-based training, DCNS hired Reviatech to develop a virtual reality simulator for a critical activity: the use of a sub-marine's garbage collector.

The final product, based on the Revia Technology, is either used on a laptop or in an immersive system with 3D vision and motion tracking to reproduce the moves during a technical operation.
